Rodolphe Desbois
Rodolphe’s family has owned château wine estates in Bordeaux for several generations.
With his high school baccalauréat in his pocket, he left Bordeaux and set off for Lyon, where he studied hotel management at the Paul Bocuse Institute and University of Lyon. During those three years of studies, he worked in hotels several months a year, travelled the world and began building his network.
After earning his diploma, he returned to Bordeaux, eager to learn more about winemaking and his ancestral savoir faire. Today, he works for his family developing an estate near Libourne, learning more about viticulture, winemaking and the creation of high quality wines. In 2010, he began studying for a masters in wine estate management at Bordeaux’s prestigious ENITA (Ecole Nationale d'ingénieurs des Travaux Agricoles or National Engineering School for Agriculture).
With the combined strengths of his background and experience, he launched, with one of his friends, an innovative concept that gives everyone the chance to discover the different steps in creating a unique wine.
Pierre Dufourq
Pierre grew up in the Bordeaux region. From his earliest years, thanks to friends and family, he’s been immersed in the world of wine. After studying business, he followed his dreams to learn about cultures around the world and travelled to several countries…America, Malaysia, Vietnam, Morocco, Australia and Portugal. His thirst for adventure and discovery was tremendous.
“My first harvests in Australia allowed me to understand that certain methods, certain approaches, are unique to each region and each country.”
Upon his return to Bordeaux in 2007, he became the co-manager of an event management company. The adventure came to a halt two years later with the economic crisis. Passionate about wine, and after several jobs in the cellars of the great chateaux in the Medoc, Graves and Saint Emilion, he helped make his first vintage in 2009 in Cote de Blaye. It was a real revelation.
